Tie Me in Knots

Raised in the south of Virginia, Mercedes is drawn to the ties that have bound her physically and emotionally to life in a small town. Her family strands were snapped and her mind is now strangled by disease. Currently teaching Fine Arts at Bassett High School, Mercedes also works to create personal pieces in order to understand her entangled reality.
